Acute abdominal and pelvic pain is often non-specific and challenging to diagnose the cause. This chapter distinguishes the roles of ultrasound, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging in evaluating traumatic and non-traumatic emergencies of the abdomen and pelvis.
