Bones and Muscles: How the Body Moves
24 Category A Credits
Course Description
In this interesting course, learn about the bones and muscles of the body and how they work together to form movement. Bones form the rigid internal framework of the body that consists of the bones, cartilage, and ligaments. Bones support the weight of the body, allowing for body movements, and protecting the internal organs. Muscles support the things that you do each day—talking, walking, sitting, standing, and running—all of these activities require movement of particular skeletal muscles. Skeletal muscles are even used during sleep. The diaphragm is a sheet of skeletal muscle that has to contract and relax for you to breathe day and night. This course has practical easy-to-understand information you will enjoy learning about.
