Course Description
Hip fracture is a common occurrence and the purpose of hip fracture surgery is to achieve the patient’s previous level of function. This chapter reviews the types of hip fractures and the types of treatment for hip fractures. Learn about the differences between a prosthesis and osteosynthesis and why each procedure is done. Information regarding the national guidelines and surgical algorithms is also included.
