Digital mammography has transformed mammography and has become part of everyday clinical practice. Now the gold standard in breast cancer screening and detection, digital mammography has many advantages compared to screen-film mammography. Learn about the components of a digital system, the types of detectors, image processing, computed aided detection, and the ability to view and interpret mammograms from different locations, which has improved quality and access.
