Cardiac Catheterization Complications
1.5 Category A Credit
Course Description
Cardiac catheterization is a common procedure but can cause a variety of adverse events ranging from minor problems to major complications requiring immediate correction. Events related to artery access are the most common, like hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, or dissection. On the other hand, we can observe complications more severe like embolization, renal failure, or allergic reactions. It is very important to know the potential adverse events of these procedures to prevent them.
